Peter Gregson – Quartets: One (EP)
Quartets: One is the new record from cellist and World Soundtrack Awards nominated composer Peter Gregson.
As well as composing for movies (like Alan Rickman's A Little Chaos) and playing on blockbuster scores (like Wonder Woman, Sherlock, and Terminator Genisys) Peter Gregson has been releasing his own albums.
Quartets: One charted at #3 in the UK classical charts as well as topping the iTunes classical charts around the world.
Benbrick wrote Sakura Nagashi with Japanese superstar Utada Hikaru. It was a #1 single and end credits theme in the hit movie Evangelion 3.33. It was included on her triple Platinum record Fantôme which went to #1 in 20 countries selling one million copies. Benbrick recently met Ricky Gervais after his original music interwoven with scenes from Derek received 1.2m plays in 1 week. Ricky Gervais called him “a future genius” and his music “stunningly beautiful”.
Benbrick’s debut artist EP is Closer | Closure. It is a heartbreakingly honest and modern take on the break up record with sparse but dynamic production framed by haunting vocals and intense lyrics. It has drawn comparisons to Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie.
